Repainting the Kitchen
Updated 16.03.23: So, here’s a change of pace. Because the table runner I am working on is taking longer than expected, I thought I’d include a little “news” about what’s going on inside the house.
When we moved into the house, we redid the kitchen. It’s been over 10 years now and it’s time for a little change. At first, I loved the wood ceiling but soon found that it swallowed all the light in the room. On sunny summer days, I’d have to turn the lights on to have good working light.
So, after a lot of consideration, I have decided to paint the ceiling white. And, since everything has to be covered to paint the ceiling, might as well do the walls at the same time.
Here is a view of the kitchen as it is now. In just a few days, it will (hopefully) be finished … and look much better!

So, that was the “before”.
Here is the “after”! The kitchen is lighter and friendlier. There are a few things I may consider doing like painting a white border around the windows to add extra emphasis. And, of course, I’ll have a think about what to hang on the walls. What was previously on the walls will probably not be returning. But, We’ll see.
